Technology & Commercialization Advisor

Mark joined VT SBDC in 2003 to fill a new statewide position focusing on technology companies. Mark has significant experience in the private sector including success with the federal SBIR Program. He has a broad business management background ranging from the multinational corporation, to the small-to midsize technology business to the very small start-up. This gives him down-to-earth appreciation of the issues, problems and opportunities facing innovators as they grow their enterprises.

After serving in the US Navy as an Engineering Officer, Mark earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. He held marketing, planning and management positions with a major American oil company in the Philippines, Australia and Thailand before returning to the Upper Valley area in the early eighties. Mark was VP of Finance & Administration at Thermal Dynamics of West Lebanon, NH. He built and operated a restaurant prior to returning to work with technology-oriented businesses. Prior to joining the VT SBDC, he consulted with and was Vice President of Synergy Innovations, Inc. of Lebanon, NH.
