Igniting the Spark: Alpenglow Fitness tells their story through photos & video
< 1 minute read

“This program really lit a fire for me. It’s really shifted something in my spirit about going from feeling dread all of the time to feeling more defiant and hopeful.”

Sky Barsch, Owner, Alpenglow Fitness, Montpelier VT

From a difficult start…

Purchasing a new business brings many challenges, but Sky Barsch faced one of the most difficult situations imaginable. She had only just purchased Montpelier-based Alpenglow Fitness when COVID-19 hit. The business had to shut down even before Sky had an opportunity to get the word out about her unique, dynamic workout classes and fitness programs.

…to new possibilities

Through the Community Navigator Pilot Program (CNPP), the Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation (CVEDC) listened to Sky’s story and took a closer look at her situation. Together, they decided that telling her story through photos and video would bring a fresh approach to showcasing Alpenglow’s boutique indoor cycling, barre, and HIIT group fitness studio.

The Glow is back at Alpenglow

CVEDC connected Sky with professional photography from RL Photography of Burlington, VT. After a week of painting, clean-up, and client recruitment, Alpenglow’s team was fired up and camera ready. After a successful shoot, the photos and video clips launched a multi-channel marketing campaign across social media and on Alpenglow’s website. New members now have a lively, vivid invite to improve their fitness, health, and wellness. And Sky and her team have a renewed spirit to fulfill their mission: to offer fun and effective fitness classes in a clean, modern, and welcoming environment that encourages all bodies, all levels of fitness, and all reasons for being at Alpenglow.
