“A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.” – Francis Bacon, English philosopher and statesman
Whether you are starting, growing, or transitioning your small business, asking questions at every stage is critical to success.
The experienced team of business advisors at the Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) has welcomed and answered thousands of questions on every aspect of business management over the past three decades since the organization began, ranging from the most basic to the most complex. Much of their time spent with clients during one-to-one, confidential, no-fee advising sessions focuses on thinking about the right questions to ask to help shape and evolve the business.
Before even beginning to work with VtSBDC, however, many small business owners have questions about the services VtSBDC provides, and what the next steps are for connecting with an advisor. To make things easier, the team has gathered and answered the most frequently asked questions they have heard recently and offered them here for easy access until you have an opportunity to meet with your advisor.
Whether you are a small business owner who is new to Vermont, new to the business community, or a long time Vermonter who would like a refresher on what VtSBDC does, we hope you find the new FAQ helpful. And if you think of a question we haven’t included here, please let us know.
